POTENTIAL FUNDING SOURCES:

  • Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP): Funds projects that support resident and family councils and other consumer involvement in assuring quality care in nursing home facilities. Think: falls prevention, deprescribing, training for staff on palliative care, pressure ulcers. Civil Monetary Penalty Reinvestment Program   
 
  • Health Service Initiative (HSI): Projects must directly improve the health of low-income children less than 19 years of age who are eligible for CHIP or Medicaid but may also serve children regardless of income. HSI FAQs
