Nicole Seymour, BSP, PharmD, ACPR (she/her)
TRAINING FACILITATOR

Picture
Nicole Seymour is an academic detailing pharmacist with the Centre for Effective Practice (CEP) Academic Detailing Service in Ontario, Canada. Since joining the CEP in 2018, Nicole has supported family physicians & primary care nurse practitioners with virtual and in-person discussions across a wide range of topics, including: opioid use disorder, chronic non-cancer pain, benzodiazepine use in older adults, COVID, type 2 diabetes, falls prevention, heart failure and more.

She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Waterloo and has also completed an inpatient pharmacy residency. She has experience in mental health, nephrology, and geriatrics – but she truly loves to learn new things and promote the exchange of knowledge and information. Through roles in both inpatient pharmacy and outpatient clinics, Nicole has also developed a passion for supporting transitions in care.

Nicole served as an adjunct associate professor for the University of Waterloo’s Pharmacy School from 2019-2023 and currently works as a casual employee for RxFiles. Nicole was excited to join the NaRCAD team as a training facilitator in 2023 so she can share her enthusiasm for empowering clinicians in learning about & applying evidence-informed recommendations to improve patient care.
