Lexie Hach, MA, DrPH(c) (she/her)
TRAINING FACILITATOR

Picture
Lexie Hach is an Integrated Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) and Special Projects Coordinator with the Bureau of HIV, STI, and Hepatitis Capacity Extension Program. A program under the Division of Public Health at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (Iowa HHS). Lexie was instrumental in developing and implementing an academic detailing program that began in 2016 in Iowa's rural communities focused on HIV, STIs, and Hepatitis. In her six years as an academic detailer, Lexie educated clinicians on best practices related to HIV, STIs, and Hepatitis in central Iowa. Although Lexie's work has shifted to field epidemiology, her academic detailing skills are still used daily with clinicians, patients, and other healthcare staff.

With over 15 years of healthcare and public health experience, Lexie has held nursing, health education, public health, and healthcare marketing positions. More recently, she assisted as a contract tracer at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and assisted with Mpox (formally known as monkeypox) at Iowa HHS. Lexie holds an Associate Degree in Nursing, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Promotion and Women's Health, and a Master of Arts degree in Community Health Education. Lexie is currently a Doctoral candidate in Public Health (DrPH) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), focusing on epidemiology. Lexie joined the NaRCAD team as a training facilitator in 2023 and is excited to be part of new and seasoned detailer's academic detailing journey.
