Deborah Monaghan, MD, MSPH
TRAINING FACILITATOR
Deborah is a family medicine physician who joined the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in 2016 to build the department's first detailing program and provide clinical education outreach on HIV prevention, sexual health and opioid safety. Deborah now works as a liaison for the state to all local public health agencies and to the Department of Education ensuring core public health services are provided equitably for all Coloradans.
A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, internship took Deborah to Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania followed by Family Medicine residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. She also received her Master of Science in Public Health through the University of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Deborah has previously served as an academic detailer for CPHDE on the topic of HIV prevention, and provides real-life experience as a member of NaRCAD's AD training facilitation team.
