Spring's in full bloom, and we have so many new buds opening up that we're excited to share with you, our phenomenal community of public health educators.

This post marks a sneak peek we're sharing just with our subscribers: we've been breathing new life into our website, including a pivot to a broader approach to our Detailing Strategy and a whole new set of Expert Consultation Services. Come take a peek!

All of this newness is being officially unveiled on June 25th at our Annual Summit: 1 Day Implementation Intensive! It's a full day of interactive virtual workshops, and you're all cordially invited to join us and re-energize yourselves, kick your morale up a notch or three, and meet people who share your values, goals, and desire to ignite behavior change and share the best evidence-based information with the healthcare community.

To show you how much we care about reinvigorating our community, leave a comment below about your hopes for the future of public health between now and Wednesday, May 20th @ 5 p.m. and get your $399.00 Summit Registration for FREE. (We'll approve your comment and reach out with a registration code.)

Keep fighting the good fight, and we'll see you next month!

In gratitude,
Bevin Amira & The NaRCAD Team

HI, I'm old enough to remember when AD was a strategy known primarily to some, but not most, pharmacists and only a few physicians. The work you've done to expand knowledge and use of AD is incredible. At my facility, we are using AD to increase use of auricular acupuncture in our emergency department and to decrease opioid prescribing (this was part of a SAMHSA-funded grant). one other thought...in your discussion of the evolution of AD you didn't mention it as an implementation strategy. Given the prominence of implementation science and its extensive use to implement changes in healthcare it seems like NaRCAD should take credit for AD being an implementations strategy. (in fact that's what we call it at my institution). Keep up the good work.

As someone who has been championing the importance of academic detailing within our local health department, I'm so thankful for all of the resources and engagement opportunities NaRCAD has offered. I'm hoping to work with others within our department and out in the community to recognize AD work that's already happening in public health work that just hasn't been named for what it is, and to help all of us grow our skills in this area to become better at and more strategic about the education we're able to offer. Thank you for all of the help!

Our small but mighty AD team would not be as successful as it is without the tools and support of NaRCAD. And while things are in flux in regard to providers knowing where to get reliable information, detailing has never been more important. I’ve been doing this for nearly 5 years and the practice just continues to expand and be ever more creative to face challenges. I’d love to see detailing continue to grow and ideally see detailers become embedded in all health organizations.

Promotion of evidence-based practice is more important now than ever. Whether its battling misinformation, patient hesitancy due to conflicting information, or ongoing policy changes, clinicians, and ultimately patients, having a consistent source evidenced-based information via academic detailing is vital.

I've taken a step back from NARCAD participation the last 2 years as my role has pivoted to doing other things alongside keeping academic detailing afloat. Im excited to learn what pivot NaRCAD has taken has well, as so much has changed these last years. As always, I find that interactions with prescribers are meaningful and helpful for me to learn and for them to learn as well. However, it's so hard with the competing priorities prescribers have today too!

Providers are so inundated with work and on information overload. AD services are so important right now to help bring the information they need right to them in a concise and targeted way without inaccuracies of AI or the slant of company sponsored information.
