YOUTH/ADOLESCENT RESOURCES & SUPPORTS:
 
  • Families Against Narcotics (FAN) Chippewa: Supportive resources for friends, family members, and youth.
  • Genesee County Prevention Coalition Youth Resources: Youth-specific resources, as well as those for the larger community related to self-help, wellness, parenting, and recovery.
  • Michigan OPEN Youth Engagement Initiative: Youth-informed opioid education, prevention resources, and creative programs to promote informed decision-making and reduce substance use stigma.
  • Michigan State University’s Collegiate Recovery Community: Online and in-person community resources, tools, & events for college-age students who use substances.
  • Oakland County Youth Resources: Tools, modules, videos, and more to educate youth about myriad topics, from preventing prescription drug misuse to the dangers of vaping.
  • OPEN Teen: Youth-designed initiative that provides teens with accessible education and resources about opioids, overdose prevention, naloxone, stigma reduction, and how to support peers affected by substance use.
  • Waterford Community Coalition: Prevention-based programming for youth and families related to substance use.
  • Waterford Youth Assistance: Family-oriented education & support for youth experiencing behavioral challenges and substance use.
  • YouthLine: YouthLine is a free peer-to-peer help, support, and crisis line for youth up to age 24. Text options are available as well.

  • Education Training Research Services (ETRS): Comprehensive agency providing education, intervention, and treatment programs for court-mandated individuals and the community.
  • Great Lakes Recovery Centers: Offender Success Reentry Services: Case management, housing assistance, employment support, peer recovery services, and substance use treatment referrals for justice-involved individuals.
  • KPEP Muskegon: Residential substance use treatment, transitional housing, and reentry programming for justice-involved individuals.
